Flash Portraits

I photographed Steven on a wall at my house.  I converted it to black and white to make the focus on him and not the color on his shirt.  I also put a vignette to tighten the focus.  I wanted to show his strength.

Environmental Portraits

I brought down the saturation of the background to put more focus on Maddie.  I wanted to photographer her in San Francisco dressed in her ballerina outfit because ballet is a big part of her life and she also loves the city.

Historical Homes-2014

I was able to connect to the place by walking around and exploring new areas that I had not noticed before.  But doing this I found some really cool and architecturally interesting new spaces.
I adjusted the brightness, contrast, and I cropped to get a tighter image.

Paper Project

I first started by folding my paper into a heart shape.  I then began to manipulate the paper to create different shapes.  I used outdoor lighting (around 6:30PM).

Natural Studio Shoot

For this studio shoot, I wanted to focus on natural beauty.  I used three lights.  Two strip lights on the sides, and an octo-box for front lighting.

"The sun is gone, but I have light" -Kurt Cobain
I darkened the image and adjusted the colors to make the light the most prominent point(s).

Grateful

I'm grateful for the area where we live.   We live in such a diverse place.  We can go to the water any time we want, we just have to go across the bridge.  I didn't do too many edits on this photo.  I played with the exposure and colors.
I'm very grateful for my family.  No matter how crazy and annoying they can be, they're always there for me and we will always love each other.  Again, I only adjusted the exposure and the colors.
I adore the city.  I'm so glad that we have easy access to the city and its beauty. I adjusted the exposure and the colors.
I'm incredibly grateful for my friends.  They all mean so much to me and I don't know what I'd do without them.  I adjusted the exposure and the colors for this photo.
